JAPAN TRIP: DAY 8 Tokyo DisneySea

Finally, the 8th day! I rarely go to theme parks, but on this trip, I went to 3 theme parks in a week! And guess what? After those theme parks visit, I even thought I need to buy a 3-days passport instead of a 2 days-passport. We rode train to Maihama Station, and we needed to take Disney Resort Line to reach DisneySea which costed us JPY 260 one way.

Tokyo DisneySea was totally different from Tokyo Disneyland. I think it was less Disney, with nautical  exploration as its theme. No castle but Mount Promotheus on the center of it, I think this place attracts more grown ups then Disneyland.

The entrance to the park is Mediterranean Harbor, and Tokyo DisneySea has six more nautically themed ports: American Waterfront, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, and Mysterious Island.

We walked to the American Waterfront port as we arrived, passing this Venice style canals and gondola. I just thought I had a brief visit to Europe.

My first destination is Toy Story Mania, to get a FASTPASS. But guess what? As soon as we arrived, the available FASTPASS was after 9 PM. Since I was so eager to try this ride, finally I took the regular queuing line.

You see the crowd? Yes, be ready for that kind of crowd.

It took me around 90 - 120 minutes I guess to finally get on this ride. The waiting room was decorated colorfully with Toy Story theme.

How about the ride? It was fun, we laughed a lot while riding on it. Worth the queue? I guess so.

You could also meet Mr. Potato Head around this area.

Right after that, we visited the Tower of Terror, located next to Toy Story Mania. The queue was quite long, but the waiting time was less than an hour. So if you like something thrilling, this ride worth a try. Just prepare to scream!

Easter eggs and spring flowers everywhere!

We walked around after that. What can you do around American Waterfront? You might want to have lunch inside the SS Columbia, ride the DisneySea electric trolley, or visit some shops.

You should try this Tiramisu Sandwich ice cream. So yummy! Just look for it at the nearest ice cream cart.

Then, we headed to the Mysterious Island, home to Journey to the Center of the Earth and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea rides. I actually wanted to try Journey to the Center of the Earth, but since my friend was against that idea, so we just got into the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride.

Next stop was the Mermaid Lagoon, home to Ariel and her sea creatures friends.

Inside the Mermaid Lagoon, you could find rides those were more fit for kids. But beside of those ride, you could visit the theater and watch the King Triton's Concert.

The concert was fun, no recording or pictures allowed, so I could only tell you that you could meet Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder dancing and singing here.

This kind of bottled drink will cost you JPY 210.

Next to the Mermaid Lagoon is the Arabian Coast. Yes, you might find the Aladdin themed buildings and rides here.

You might also meet these Aladdin characters!

The arrogant Jafar might refuse you if you are asking for picture.

The kind hearted Genie was nice to kiddos.

The naughty Abu would probably annoys you.

And everybody was queuing to take pictures with pretty Princess Jasmine.

And since I always want to ride on the magic carpet, so I just rode this Jasmine's Flying Carpets.

Then, we headed to the Lost River Delta and hopped onto the Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of
the Crystal Skull.

When in theme park, don't forget to take pictures, a lot of pictures!

And the last port we visited was Port Discovery, home to the Stormrider, Aquatopia rides.

We had dinner at one of the restaurants at Mediterranean Harbor.

This plate of pasta costed me JPY 750, you could consider that price affordable around this theme park.

Actually I wanted to wait for the night parade, but since we were quite exhausted and still needed to wake up early in the morning for our next schedule, we decided to go back before the parade. Well, I'll just get back here next time. I believe I will. Goodbye for now DisneySea! Let's go to Kawasaki and meet Doraemon on the next post!
